Default EVO-R carbon fiber shifter plate automatic

so i bought this EVO-R Carbon Fiber Shifter Plate Cover, Automatic, 09-13 370Z. from motorsport auto z store and it looked really nice.. but when i tried to put it on it seems like u can see gaps under and around the shifter plate that lets u see the silver. i might be dumb for putting over it but there was no direction let me know what you guys think. im trying to put the picture up. for some reason its not uploading.

Seems like there is no way around it and seems like thats the furthest you can go.

Unless someone knows a way to stretch the sides

Yeah, that's probably as good as it fits.

With paint, pinstriping tape, or vinyl you could cover the visible parts in black to blend in better.

wow, like a flood look.

i recommend taking that off gently if you can, paint the bottom area of the trim gloss black, then re-attach.

this is one of the reasons why i dont do overlays that dont actually wrap the pieces.

I would send it back and get a refund. Can't see any reason why it shouldn't fit and cover completely.
