Question Silver interior trim modifications

I know some people have painted the interior silver trim pieces but these are high wear areas and I don't want to go through the hassle of having to repaint after a few months or years.

My question is how viable is wrapping as an alternative? I know some trim pieces like the window switch and the shift knob ring is probably pretty easy to do but how about something like the door handles (int)?

Is there a work around for a part as difficult to wrap as the interior door handles?

I'm aware that some vendors on here offer CF snap on alternatives, however, I'm not going for the CF look. I'd like to try to roughly match the exterior (I say roughly because it's on the inside and you can't juxtapose the int/ext)

Sorry if this has been posted before, did a quick search but nothing too thorough.

Thanks!

I have wondered the same thing.

I've seen brushed aluminum dynoc overlay which make me think that could work if done correctly.

Hoping someone has tried something like this...

I've been pondering the same thing lately as well. I was even going to post a question if there was a tough, automotive silver (Duplicolor?) that matched the stock silver so that I could repaint the cup holder and door handle pieces.

I guess I'll be asking my buddies at impressive wraps over the weekend and we will see.

how about get clearbra and just wrap it?

i did this on my G's titanium colored interior door handle as it was prone to scuffs from even my watch.

I wrapped my old BMW 330ci in a silver wrap. the interior was wood grain, and I just didnt like the look. It wasn't that bad to do you need to find the right kind of wrap. I have to find my pics and will post.

Don't mind the small box that was my son's 5th grade science/engineering project.

Wrap, silicone spatula and a hair dryer, and patience lots of patience!

Good Luck

Because I want to get rid of the silver color. Not a fan of it. I'd rather have it match my car's exterior.

You know I'm not sure that's wrapped. I could be wrong but I think it's a water transfered graphic.

In my nightmares, I drive a car with wood grain all over the interior.

That wrap turned out really clean! I think most of the parts on our Zs can be wrapped just fine, only the door handles keep me from going for it =\
