Question Window Tinting Dot Matrix

Hey all,

After melting my GPS and shrinking my hospital crocs down 6 sizes, I have decided to invest in some window tint to help keep the car cool during the summer (and let's not lie, look gangsta). I'll probably be going with ~39% tint and have found some shops around with a good reputation.

The question I have is, will all/most/some/no shops tint the area of the windows that has the raised dot matrix around it? I'd prefer not to have halos of non-tinted glass around the tinted windows. After searching the google today, it appears that tinting the matrix part can be done but just requires a little more work. This little more work may include adding black vinyl around the perimeter of the glass - more shady ways include sanding down the matrix or elmers glue.

I'd just like to see if anyone here has had their car windows tinted including the dotty part. Thanks in advance, happy motoring.

Basically just clean the crap out of it with something that has ammonia in it, then when they are putting the tint on they need to squeegee it with one of those soft yellow rubbery ones instead of the hard plastic squeegee.

if you recently had your windows tinted, that dot matrix bubbling should go away after a day or two in the sun
