Default oem daytime running lights

Anyone know if these are easy to install or is it best to have the dealer install. I would think there might be an existing plug (prewired) but i might be wrong. Anyone have any insights on this? Thanks!

OEM running lights are enabled by the ECU. Most countries in the world require them except for the US.

Aftermarket parts from Nissan bolt to the front and require wiring.

They don't HAVE to be controlled by the ECU, and I doubt they would be in this case.

You could wire them to a relay with key-on 12v... meaning they would automatically come on when you turn the key on.

You could also wire the relay to a switch, and turn it on and off when you'd like.

If the car didn't come with DRLs, then the wiring probably isn't there. You could add all the OEM stuff, but that's too much work and money IMO.

You can use relays to get the "on when the headlights are off and vice versa." functionality you're looking for.

We can get great pricing on OEM Nissan parts, too.

Tapping in to the headlight corner light power would serve as a great source to hook up a relay to turn the lights OFF when the headlights are turned ON.

Hmm.. anyone know if the reverse is possible? For us with DRL's, it uses the Xenon's all the time, I would like to keep the automatic headlight function where the Xenon lamps turn on at dusk automatically and only the parking lights are on for DRL's.
