i tried searching but does anyone know if all recaro aftermarket seats (not the nismo factory one) fit over the stock V2 nismo seat rail and slider. some of them look almost identical to the nismo seats I have in the car. I am just wondering the fact that there is lack of information on fitment for recaro means most aftermarket recaro seats fits directly.

afaik only the upper seat back on the nismo is a real produced by recaro part. the lower seat is nissan. So I wouldn't expect full recaro seats to bolt in. also I'm sure it would depend on what recaro seat you're trying to install no?

edit: you can see here even the juke recaro don't fit

Just installed my Braum Elite X series with planted brackets.

I sit uncomfortably lower than the oem stock setup.
Does anyone know if I can add risers of any sort to this new Braum and Planted setup, so I can sit higher?

You should be able to on the rear of the bracket. There's a diy on here that's specs out spacers and longer bolts to do it to the oem seats. When I had oem, I did that mod

Ok kool. Gona check it out. Yea i was hoping to do the rear only, because I feel that the seats are angled backwards slightly for some reason.

I'm not a big guy, 5'9", 31" waist, 160 lbs, but I do want to be able to use a helmet at the track. Has anyone have anything good to say about the Buddy Club base & sliders paired with Pole Positions? TIA!

I know this post is a bit old, but I've got the Buddy Club sliders with a side mounted Tillet B8 seat.

The brackets included don't provide the actual lowest or rear most position, so I had to fabricate brackets. Part of the issue is that the seat is too wide to fit between the sliders and adjustment bar at their widest position.

Looks good but that OE shifter is killing your interior vibe. I have a M45 auto knob that is plug and play for sale and if pared with the manual shift boots on ebay it really cleans up that dated auto shift knob and ugly bezel area.

Funny you say this, I have just been looking at ways to spice up the auto shifter in my Z. Can you show me photos or link to what exactly is available for me to do this?

Any reclineable seat is going to be pretty much impossible to get lower than stock due to the sliders on the bottom.

If you want to go lower, you need a bucket, mounted in fixed position. The angle of the seat will also substantially affect headroom.

I needed space to fit with a helmet. First tried a combo of Z1 side mounts and a Sparco EVO 2 US QRT. Got headroom but the seat back was angled back so much I had an uncomfortable time reaching either the pedals or steering wheels due to how far back it left me.

Swapped to a newer Sparco QRT EVO XL. It has a more vertical back, which solved the issue. Fit with helmet now, and everything else is in reach comfortably.

takeways:
If you want to go low, you will need to sacrifice with a fixed bucket or custom setup

test fit, test fit, test fit
