removing a pillar?

can someone tell me how to remove the a pillars with out breaking anything?

Question removing a pillar?

can someone tell me how to remove the a pillars with out breaking anything?

the A pillars are very delicate. remove your weather stripping, watching out for the notch on the forward part of the weather stripping (you'll have to pull down and out to release it).

then unscrew all of the screws in the metal bracket, and lift straight up SLOWLY.

thx im trying to make some A pillar pods. so i need it off to make a mold

Just FYI for anyone else that has a question about this. Just as Phelan said, it is in the service manual and to be more specific its in the Section INT Interior, page INT-18.

It says you need to cut a clip and replace it when re-installing the A pillar in the manual. Does anyone have a part number for this clip that has to be replaced?
