Not a smart idea.

4th Break light between the Exhaust
I have the 2010 Touring Roadster. My 4th break light is just a smoke red reflector clam smell. Car is wired for the break light. I have purchased the break light. Who or has anyone heated clam shell to remove the RED cover I want my SMOKE cover on the Break light. The Smoke does not have the hole cut out for the bulb nor does it have the silver reflector inside. The hole needed for the bulb is a triangular shape..

I used a heat gun and some patience to remove the red lens from my fog light housing. I pried on the lens with a plastic panel tool using light pressure after applying heat - the lens would make a slight cracking as it broke away from the housing but be careful not to break it. The smoked lens wasn't available at the time, so I painted the inside of the lens (with a Z logo taped off).

I pulled my 3 rd brake light, PITA.
I sprayed the lens like 3-4 times with smoke. Never got a good finish on it and gave up.
