Default F1 third brake light won't stop F1-ing

Backstory: I installed an "F1" module on my third brake light some time ago where it would have 3x quick flashes, 3x slow flashes, then steady. I eventually installed the 4th brake light/fog light on my Nismo bumper and relocated the module from the 3rd to 4th brake light (I didn't want a party back there every time I stepped on the brake).

Here is the issue: even after removing the F1 module on the 3rd brake light, the light itself still does the 3x/3x/hold

Any ideas what could be causing it to continue and/or how to remedy it?

Doesn’t those blinking modules just plug inline with the OEM wiring harness? How tf is it still happening after being removed?

Did you try disconnecting the battery? I have the Evo R as my fog/4th brake light. It constantly blinks when the brakes are on. It must drive the cars behind me crazy. I notice I don't get tailgated at night.

That's the question I'm trying to figure out lol. Your guess is as good as mine at this moment.

Doesn't it mean the car is recharging its batteries?

Well, if you must know, the battery life has been outstanding, so you may be on to something there
