Default What is behind the front bumper

I would like to see some pictures of the 370z with the front bumper removed. At the present time I have mine removed and there are 2 plates (one on the left center, other right of center) that are loose and maybe bent. These plates look like they may be there to keep air directed to the radiator? Thanks for your help.

If there vertical yes it's to guide air into radiator and ac condenser. Mine were broke so I took them off as fan should pull air thru them.

What is your concern?

Don't expect those air guides to be stiff. They are thin plastic and oddly shaped to wrap around the bumper reinforcement. They bend easily and I'm not even sure they're held on by screws - I think they have a couple of tabs that just interlock loosely with openings on the frame.

Here's a pic from the top and front. I've outlined the pieces you are asking about.

The air guides interlock with the plastic on the frame. Without them. The airflow is bleeding around the radiator, instead of through it.

Default More on the plates behind the bumper

Thanks for all the feedback. Should have posted a pic to show more detail. I have a wiring problem that we are fixing and found these metal plates. they lay horizon. The red area is the worst and trying to figure out how it is suppose to fit correctly. The green area looks like something should be attached in the square hole but I see nothing in the area that might go there. Thanks, Jack

My Nismo has those plates. It's the upper air guides. If you install a 34 row oil cooler. The one on the driver's side has to be removed.
