Recaro Fabric Choices
I am looking for some feedback on the various options for the Recaro Sportster CS. I am thinking I want to stay away from vinyl since it gets really hot here so I need to decide between the Nardo/Arista option or leather. Is the leather good quality and worth the extra cost?
The other decision is heat or non-heat? I do like having heated seats but am not sure it is worth the extra weight and cost. Any feedback from owners would be great. Thanks! |

I think you are going to have to make this decision on your own Either your doing time attack where weight savings is a high priority so heated seats are irrelevant. Or you're not doing time attack so the extra weight of heated seats is irrelevant. Or, like me you live in Texas, so heated seats are irrelevant regardless of the goals for the car

You make excellent points! I don't have a Nissan Z yet (will be ordering the new Z later) but have a 2017 Infiniti Q60 which is way too heavy so I keep focused on weight. I come here since this community is much more track focused which is how I am modifying my Q.
In this case, you are right since I am only doing HPDE the extra weight won't matter. We do get plenty of cold nights here in NC so the heated seats do come in handy a couple of months a year. |

If the seats are anything like the Z seats, they are simply 4 bolts and a few connectors for air bags and the like - i.e. pretty easy to swap out.
So if you have the storage room, you could consider buying a set of track seats and a set of heated seats for cruising.

Not the most helpful post, but I have a pending install on the leather version. Might be installed sometime in the next month. Got other stuff happening in the same shop appointment so I haven't even gone to check it out yet while the other parts haven't arrived yet.
I'll try to get back to this thread after it happens if you are still undecided. |

I have ordered the seat and mounting hardware, ended up going with Leather with heat.
To keep the airbag light from coming on, I know I need to have a resistor installed. Is there a specific resistor required for Nissan/Infiniti or will the Recaro Universal resistor wire work? |
