Default how to replace b pillar lower grommet

Hey everyone,

Just two days ago, my B pillar panel went flying off while driving....I couldn't find it again, despite driving the busy highway several times....

All this was the result of a ridiculously shoddy windshield replacement from the dealer I bought it from several weeks ago...

...since the Nissan dealer who reattached the A pillar on that side a couple weeks ago has disavowed any responsibility for the B pillar (despite telling me it too had been put on wrong but they had really secured it - I didn't expect them to even fix it free, but an at-cost discount would have been nice!... and not treating my rudely and as though I were an idiot - I've never been demanding or anything but calm with them despite several disappointments and broken promises in just a couple of months of dealing with them).... I ordered a panel from Z1.

....after spending half an hour rigorously prying out remnants of the clips, I noticed one of the lower grommets is a bit loose.

So I have two questions, I was hoping somebody could help me with:

1.is this also the one used in the 370z? I was looking all over the web. Couldn't find much info, but some places seem to sell this as 350z/370z... though some diagrams I saw list the 370z part as a different code
https://www.z1motorsports.com/door-s...et-p-6177.html

2.how do these go in/out? Is it just straight-forward pry the old one out, and pop the other one in?

Thanks in advance everyone.

1. Huh?? Which one? You didn't even provide a link. I don't believe the 350 and 370 pillars are the same, but I've been wrong before.

2. Check out the 2nd link below.

Thanks updated with link.

I saw those pages yesterday - but unless I'm missing something, they don't answer my 2nd question. I didn't actually see any info about replacing the grommets...well sorry, maybe I'm using the wrong terminology....I am thinking of trying to swap out the yellow grommet-cover when before i put the new b pillar panel on.

It sounded like you were talking about the panel itself. Hence my confusion.

Weird that the upper grommet seems to be clearly 350/370 compatible, but the center and lower grommets seem to be only referenced as 350 parts on CZP and Z1 websites. I'm guessing they are the same - they sure look the same. Contact a dealer or retailer to confirm. A lot of part numbers you find online are specific to the site and not the actual Nissan part number.

They pull straight out. That's what she said.

Good to know they just pull in/out lol. I am thinking it is the same:

https://www.nissanparts.cc/oem-parts...lip-7684871s00

I had noticed even Walmart lists 370z as compatible - but not where...

https://www.walmart.com/ip/15-Mouldi...370Z/153534317

What seems weird is that in the diagram on:
https://parts.nissanusa.com/a/Nissan...US_767A_5.html

It seems to suggest I need 72812H... when I type that into the search on the same site, nothing comes up.

It's listed down at the bottom on that same page (the listings aren't in numerical order btw). Use CTRL+F to find that ID number. Once you find that part listing, you can click the part to take you to this page:
https://parts.nissanusa.com/p/Nissan...848-71S00.html

I linked Nissan's website so you can know that you got the right part number. For this product it is 76848-71S00. That is the same product number for the Z1 and CZP parts that only reference the 350Z. So it appears that they are compatible for 350/370.

Courtesy Nissan Parts' web site has a lot of exploded drawings with Nissan part numbers. Or there's the trusty FSM (link in sig), which will also have R&R procedures.

I literally have this same issue going on for the same reason — windshield replacement. Seems like double sided tape hid the issue until it recently gave out and my bottom grommet is presumably damaged, with the other two still holding, so I haven't jumped on replacement just yet.

I was assuming the grommet is the same as Z1 recommends them together.

OK great! I just don't really understand the diagram I guess... EDIT: OH...I see...the 72812H is just some sort of diagram number - that maps to a part number through the link! Ugh..if it's just for the diagram, why not just make it part "7", or part "G" lol.

I also emailed z1 yesterday, and they sent back an email saying it was the same for the 350 and 370. So I think I'm good. The part came quickly today, so I have it! Will be trying to put it on tonight....and I also got to tell the dealership - kindly jump off a cliff, thanks (long story lol).

Thanks to all for the help.

Z1 just sent me an email saying they are the same....and it looks like JarBlue's last link confirms it. I'll be trying to put mine in tonight.
