I guess they don't unless I'm missing something. The last few seconds only talks about the lumbar support.

Not sure what you mean by storage compartments. Leaning the seats forward gives plenty of access to the shelves (one side has a compartment). If you're referring to space on the floor, there is basically none if you have long legs and have to slide your seat back. So no they did not design the seats to fold forward to give access to that space.

I'm talking about the storage behind the seats in a Roadster. Very hard to get to. The seatbacks should come down but I guess not. Bummer
What do you mean by, "Leaning the seats forward"

Well I don't know about the touring models that have motorized reclining, but I know my Z has a lever for reclining the seat manually. If I pull this lever from outside the vehicle, the seat leans forward to the steering wheel providing access to storage behind the seats.

The last few seconds talk about referring to the owners manual.

Since you have power seats (which you did not mention), I would guess you would use the tilt forward button. 0:21 of the video.

Pulling the tilt lever on the Z leans the seat forward but does not automatically slide the seat all the way forward like most coupes with backseats. So you have to manually slide the seat all the way forward and then pull the tilt lever. That should get it pretty close to, if not touching, the steering wheel. For power seats, as cooltoy mentions below, you can use the buttons to slide and tilt the seat as far forward as possible for the most clearance.

Power seats don't have a tilt leaver, but you are right. Tilt the seat with the tilt button and then slide forward with the other button. The effect should be the same.

Wonder why they didn't carry over that feature from the 350Z. I had a 350 Touring Coupe with the power seats, and they also had a little lever behind the headrest that allowed you to manually fold the seatback forward. IIRC, when the seat was all the way folded it also allowed the seat base to slide forward a bit for more access to the storage behind the seats.
