I had mine on the harness bar also but when I had my accident it broke loose from the mount and became a projectile. Ended up in the front passenger footwell. No more. Now it get's mounted in the front of the passenger seat.

I have mine mounted in front of the driver's seat.
The BracketeerThe Bracketeer It needed a little bit of adjustment/modification to fit there. |

Longer bolts for the front seats, had the remove the angle from the plate connecting the seat to the bracket to still be able to reach the manual adjustment. Nothing extensive, but it is difficult to remove the carpet now.
I was going to say something about that. For street car that is well maintained it is completely unnecessary. But for me as a track rat, I feel the pros out way the cons. If I do crash it will likely be bad and me personally I'd like an extinguisher handy till responders get there in a minuet. On the highway if there is a fire the car will burn to the ground, extinguisher or not. |
