Default Wiring under headliner

I am trying to run a wire for dashcam and radar under the headliner to get to the A-pillar. I've found many threads of people doing similar things. Generally people say they just are able to tuck the wiring into the headliner. But I am majorly struggling to do that. I can't pull it open at all to get any gap and I can't push the wire into any gap. I've tried using a screwdriver and a pry tool to just ease the opening so I can fit the wire in. But even the tools I can barely get to go under the headliner, it seems extremely snug and I don't want to force anything under it and break it. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to get the wire into the headliner? Thanks
