Window reset procedure. A quick search should do the trick.

Here is what you do to reset it:
With the ignition off open the driver’s side door.
Turn the ignition to the “On” position (do not start the car).
Roll the window all the way down. Then roll the window all the way up and hold the switch in the up position for 5 seconds.
After 5 seconds release the switch and test the auto up and down feature.

i've done it with the door closed and running before. dont think those parts matter its more of the holding the buttons down long enough.

Have you checked the switch in the door jam? When the door is closed it presses the switch, which causes the window to go up. When depressed, the window goes down. Does the switch look worn or out of place at all?

My passenger side window goes down, but doesn't go back up when you close the door. Thus, getting in and out, it keeps going down, down, down, etc.

Does the "Reset" procedure work on this? I assumed mine was janked up because I had to buy a new drivers'-side window switch (for both windows) when the original got shorted out during a stereo or alarm install. I think the one I got came out of a Rogue or some other SUV or something. The only problem was the pass window auto up/down with door open/close doesn't work right.

I'm gonna test it... it's not a huge problem, just a very minor annoyance. I'm interested to see if this reset will fix it.

What you are describing is exactly what mine does after the power connectors in the door have been disconnected and reconnected. Reset procedure fixes it.

It requires a reset. I'm always messing around with my car, so I'm constantly disconnecting and reconnecting the battery. This reset procedure needs to be done to both windows every time.

I have this same exact trouble now. It’s been to the dealership (for another issue, but I mentioned this), they did the reset but it didn't help. I'm thinking it's the door swich. Probably open when depressed and closed when door is open and there's a bad connection. Just wonder what the resolution for the OP was, or anyone else who has this problem.
