Default Fan Buttons didn't work

Hello,

I have 2018 370Z with Nav, and today when I started the car I noticed all the fan buttons below radio control would not work.

Started driving around, and it still won't work.

Parked the car, turned off for about 5 minutes then turned it back on, it was working fine.

At first I thought it was the fuse, but assuming it was working again, could this just be a temporary symptom?

Please let me know if anyone had experienced similar issue.

Thank you!

Have you removed the panel and ensured the wire harnesses are snug?

The panel was never removed so I assumed it was all tight to its factory spec.

But, I could check to make sure everything is tight.

Thank you!

Please let us know what you found. The same thing happened to my 2018 Sport Tech about three times recently and when I took it to the dealer they did not find anything. I am concerned that it will be a recurring issue and would like to know the fix.
How do you remove the panel?
Thank you!

I haven't found anything yet since it was working fine ever since.

But, I am going to check all the fuses and ones related to climate control, might as well just replace them for peace of mind.

This same thing happened on my previous Mercedes, and the dealer told me they replaced the fuse.

Replacing a good fuse is pointless, it doesn't really fix anything. Start with the FSM, it has troubleshooting sequences that will help. BTW, when the 'dealer' says 'they replaced the fuse' that's dealer/mechanic talk for 'this moron doesn't know anything'...

Been there, done that...

What's FSM? How is it checked?
In my case the dealer checked the fuses and the codes.
Thank you

FSM = Factory Service Manual, SouthArk370Z has the link in his signature, 2 posts above mine. It has charts on how to trouble shoot every system in the car.

I'm not looking for a replacement, just someone to take up a little of the slack.

I had a similar situation with my 2018 Touring a couple of weeks ago. It's been so hot here I just leave the AC / fan on. Not a real solution I know.....

Well the entire Climate Control unit doesn't work. None of the buttons or knobs do anything and none of the fans are blowing any air. It's been like this for about a week. The buttons are still backlight but just no longer functional. Stereo works fine. No mods or have I ever taken apart the panels.

I checked the fuses that might be related to the climate control on the kickbox and in the engine bay and they seem intact. Unless there's other's hidden elsewhere.

Took it to the dealership and said they were getting a U1000 code. Possible "ground" issue. Looked at the FSM and couldn't get a definite solution to troubleshoot the issue or my reading comprehension is just low.

Any recommendations before I bite the bullet and get bent over at the dealership?

I have a 2016 Nismo Tech if that matters...

Just to follow up: I ended up disconnecting the battery, waited 30 seconds, plugged it back in and... PROBLEM SOLVED!
