Default Stock spoiler removal

I’m trying to get my stock spoiler off and I can’t find the 2 10mm bolts that are holding it on. I’ve read the detailed walkthrough and even saw a video showing where to drill. I’ve drilled in the exact same locations and after turning the inside of the hatch into Swiss cheese, I still don’t see them anywhere. Can somebody look at the pics and tell me where they are supposed to be?

Disregard. I figured it out. You don’t need to drill anything to get the spoiler off. The holes you drill are for the new spoiler installation. I just did it backwards.

Well the upside is your Z will be that much faster now with your weight reduction mods.

At least you weren't drilling on the outside of the hatch lol.

Dont sweat it; it's not like you dropped a wrench across both battery terminals or anything...

I make these kinds of errors all the time. Even though no one will ever see my goof ups (like in this case), knowing they are there drives me absolutely crazy.

100%. There is a nice hole in my drivers side floor from my attempt to mount anti-sub straps. Its sealed, painted, AND there's underbody plastic covering it but just knowing that it exists can cause psychic pain lol
