370Z Tarmac Rally Car - Roll Cage
Hey There!
New to the forum.... awesome to see a large group of Z fans in one place.. I live south of the border in Newfoundland Canada and race in a local tarmac stage rally called Targa. So I have a 2009 Sport Touring Z that I am converting into a Tarmac Rally/Autocross car for Targa Newfoundland and the Autocross Scene. Our team already has 2 cars entered in the event one being an evoX having a full 6 point cage from Custom Cages... I contacted Custom Cages recently and they said they do not have a design done up for a weld in cage currently.. and other cages I have found were upwards of 3500 euro!!!! I was hoping some people on here with some knowledge would either be able to direct me to a place where I could get a decent well triangulated cage(at a reasonable price) or someone with specifications to build one custom... Here are some examples ive found online what I wish to replicate... https://goo.gl/images/kiMCYH https://goo.gl/images/tzvTT6 Last edited by MaxZen Racing; 11-12-2018 at 09:13 PM. |

You could probably try getting in contact with Next Level Performance or Rampage Fabrication. I know they both have a half cage for the Z, so they may be able to get you what you're looking for.

RPM Rollbar makes 4 point and 6 point bolt in roll bar as well.

As far as I know no one makes an off-the- shelf full racing cage for the 370z besides Autopower but I wouldn't recommend them.

Yea I noticed how little there was in terms of triangulation on their cage.... I sent them an email asking if they could do something custom but im sure that will cost an arm and a leg....

Was hoping we could find something similar for the Zplatform.. might have to get a hoop/harness bar and work from that... asked rampage fab if they would send one unfinished in terms of paint |

For what you need. It will have to be a custom cage. The 6 points available does not have a front hoop.
Check with MA Motorsports. They do a lot of Z racecars. They may have something.

A true 6 point cage with front tube to halo above would require the car to be in person. We chose not to have a "bolt in" option for this for multiple reasons:
1) we strictly do not recommend them for anyone street driving their car due to the liability of hitting someone's head and knocking themselves out. 2) For integrity, the dash should either be fully removed, or trimmed to access the firewall for mounting points and proper bend angles of the tubing. We offer our 4 point bolt-in cage that is easily installed and if desiring can be welded fully in at the floor and joints(2). All NASA/SCCA rules have been met as we have had mulitple installed in SCCA cars. We also have arm bars (removable) jigged for install to call it a "6 point bolt in" option. |
