Hilarious and incredibly annoying
I got the e-mail today too and bought one. I pushed Weathertech on this for years and finally gave up. Taking 10 years is truly PATHETIC of them.
They have supposedly been working on window deflectors for my 2107 Sportage for over 2 years now and still nothing. They make a decent product, but their R&D and time to production totally suck. As does their stringing people along saying "its in the works and will be available soon". In that regard they are complete liars. That being said, better late than never.

Here you go. Sorry, not the best pictures. Taken with my phone in my garage after dark. Also, Weathertech rolls the thing up so it hasn't settled completely to go flat yet. But I thought bad pics are better than no pics.
These were taken with the flash off.

Looks good!
My last 4 vehicles have had been WeatherTech’d out...currently have the FloorLiners, so getting this is a given! Too bad they don’t offer color choices (went with grey, for the color-contrast). Thanks again for snapping some photos! |

What's the material like? Is it a hard slick plastic, or more of a rubber feel to prevent things from sliding? The OEM carpet cover may as well be made out of ice to any boxes put on it.

Just wanted to add that I just got mine in the mail and put it into the Z!
Ordered Dec 5th. Got it at the end of Jan.... WeatherTech said they were "made to order" so it took a while for it to arrive in Canada. Just an FYI to fellow Canadian Z drives who are ordering it - expect a wait. For those of you in a colder climate, you'll have to unroll the mat and use weights to flatten it out inside when it comes or it doesn't stay flat. The material is a kind of hard rubber. It is a bit textured though. My gym bag hasn't really slid around unless its a hard turn and my powerlifting belt hasn't moved an inch in the trunk (leather against rubber). Definitely an improvement over cardboard on carpet haha. Now I can throw my snow brush in the back without worrying about salt/stains in the carpet! |
