It's basically 500 bucks plus paint (whatever that runs in your area, maybe 600ish to get it perfect) to get started.
If you want to do it right, you'll need new fender liners and undertray, so another 300 bucks. So maybe 1500 total since you'll need a new badge too and misc bs. Not too bad, but in my opinion it looks out of place without the $ide$kirt$ and rear bumper. If you want to have the DRL's, you're looking at tacking on another thousand smackeroos. No joke. |

Budget $650 in parts for proper front bumper conversion. This is without any
LEDs. Paint budget is $300. Negotiate installation cost at that point. Not a fan of just doing the front. This goes true for any conversion. So many incomplete conversions out there. Go to post#734 on the thread mentioned by cooltoy above.

To not have a ~1 inch gap in your bumpers you should get the fender liners as well. Z1 sells this https://www.z1motorsports.com/front-...it-p-8198.html which will tell you everything you need. The conversion is pricey and in my opinion the bumper looks good without LEDs too, so save yourself 1k.

Believe he's just talking about doing just the front. Objectively, he is right. The finishing trim will be discontinuous without the skirts, although Amuse or Abflug rears look ok.
I'll admit I might be guilty of doing this as well, as the paint on my front bumper has waves in it and I'm thinking I might as well look at this route if I'm paying for paint/labor anyway. |
