Exclamation Potential rust issue for all

I have a southern car, never seen salt 45000 miles 09. It was starting to eat into my paint. Checked the rest of the hatch area and it's perfect.
So just wanted to give you guys a heads up. Probably should check yours could cause big issues.
This is also my first post hello everyone. Had my car for a month and it's awesome.

Thanks for the info Gtpdy. (and welcome!)

High humidity will contribute to rust as much as driving around in a nice northern winter.

As an FYI - For anyone with Rust issues (I already treated my car) I recommend Rust Doctor or Por15.

Both are great products.

This is the only part of the car with rust. Undercarriage is 99% clean.
It was very strange being in the interior of the car. It has something on it from the parts factory making rust bad. Also it easy to take of in five minutes and it is kinda pointless to be on the car.

There are quite a few threads/posts about the weight. Look for threads about weight reduction and hatch opening problems.
