Tommy Kaira Hebi Bebi Shift Knob Question

Anyone know how bad these things heat up? In Florida and summers can get rough down here. Not wanting to drive with oven mits!

Not sure, but I would recommend a cover to put over it to keep it cool.

I've got a large heavy shift knob here in FL... tint your windows and be displine about putting a windshield sun shade up and you'll be fine. You should be doing this stuff anyway =)

Default Timing....

I was literally looking an older post where you had that. What was custom? Engraving? If so how did it come out?

IIRC the domed top was a custom request for his standard "Piston" knob. I didn't do engraving, but I did have him add the burnt coloration to the stainless steel... its much more subtle compared to burnt Ti but I like it. =)

It came out beautiful and I love it.... was quite a bit more $$ than I've ever spent on a shift knob, but I would do it again in a heartbeat!

Edit: Just wanted to add, Chris from lathewerks was awesome to work with. We exchanged 21 emails back and forth with me doing a poor job of explaining exactly what I wanted. I sent him some MS-Paint design drafts and he even made some 3D renders for me, etc. He really went above and beyond to make sure I got exactly what I wanted.

Dwight Frye will become famous soon enough

I have this one for $37.95 delivered plus the trim piece from the Z store

435G HEAVY WEIGHTED 6 SPEED STEEL JDM SHIFT KNOB FOR 350Z 370Z Z33 Z34 ALTIMA

I keep a one of the small Crown Royal bags in the console to slip over it when parked in the sun so I don't brand my palm with the shift pattern like that Mongolian in Raiders of the Lost Ark when he picked up the puzzle piece from the fire in the bar.

A good tennis wrist band, preferably in white, also works wonders on the stainless steel shift knobs.
