Options on obtaining the 2015 Nismo rear deck spoiler?
I have a 2015 Pearl White Coupe. I want to have the 15' Nismo rear deck lid spoiler put on and the dealer said no problem. I went on Nissan's website and, in the space of half a day, kept getting different figures for this part from $610 to $845. Yes, I know there are after-market options but I want to stay OEM. Is there a reason for such variation in price on Nissan's own e-store? Can the same exact piece be purchased elsewhere. Seems like a lot of money for this part.
This is my retirement gift to me. The school district gave me a print of a water color of the school, a pen, and a hundred dollar bill...after forcing me to retire after 23 years. Time to go play cars. Last edited by Inspector71; 05-20-2016 at 09:00 AM. Reason: This is my retirement gift |

You should be able to purchase it from any Nissan dealer

I've always had good luck getting OEM parts from CourtesyParts | Genuine OEM Nissan Parts & Accessories

I can vouch for the seller in the thread I linked for you. He is a stand up guy and it definitely seems to be considerably cheaper.

I remember you mentioning that someone told you the wing was glued on without any fasteners holding it. That is not true. Here is a picture of the 2015 Nismo wing removed - with all the fastening points. Just FYI.

help in the KC area with rear decklid spoiler
I visited the local Nissan dealer. They said the cost for a "standard" rear decklid spoiler for my 15' was $610 bucks. The cost for the Nismo one is $840. Wow. At that point, I am thinking I'll go with the standard one. I asked what it cost to install and they said "Around $300 hundred dollars." I was kind of stunned.
Is there a difference between the install of the standard and Nismo spoilers? I was told the Nismo one is essentially "glued" on with 3M strips or something of that nature. Why would that cost $300 dollars? Or, were they referring to the cost of the standard spoiler? Is that one glued on as well or attached by screws? It is Saturday and I won't be able to check responses until Monday. I plan to go by the dealer on Monday and see if I can get this settled. I will order a spoiler in two weeks and it will probably be the standard non-Nismo one. In the meantime, I was hoping someone on the forum knew of a place I could take the car to, a place you trust, who could put the spoiler on for lest. It is white pearl. Yes, nice. Thanks for all the help because I know you are the only ones who can help. |

Thanks everyone
I'm at work and I tried to click on that link and it is blocked by my employer for some reason. I'll try from another location. I thought the whole glued on only answer was questionable... Again, thanks, Had no idea it cost so much.
Okay, Fontana Nissan has them on sale for $664. are they a good source? A heck of a deal compared to local prices Last edited by Inspector71; 05-23-2016 at 09:33 AM. Reason: Found one |
