Why do some cars have flat bottoms and some don't? I don't understand how this car for example (and I've seen others) could have a working rear diffuser if air

Default Rear aero??

Why do some cars have flat bottoms and some don't? I don't understand how this car for example (and I've seen others) could have a working rear diffuser if air can go above and below and it's flat in shape. The 458 for example has a complete flat bottom with Like a 21% (I forget now) angle up for its diffuser? What gives?

Different ways to manage air flow under the car. What they are are trying to do, is creating a vacuum under the car. And have it balanced between front and rear.
