Default Rvinyl Overlays

Has anybody tried these Rvinyl products for headlight/taillight overlays? I'm wondering how difficult they are to apply, especially considering the sharp creases and curves on the 370Z lights. I was looking at the light tint, just to darken the OEM lights a bit. I like the idea of being able to remove them if I want.

i used rvinyl on my previous two cars and they are top notch. so was their customer service.

however, bluebat has more options for the 370z and everyone seems to be happy with his product. he is also active on this forum (as you can tell from his post above). if i was going to do another overlay i would choose bluebat.

How difficult was it/would it be to apply this Rvinyl film to our Z tail lights?

It seems to me that the shape of our tail lights would be hard to cover with a film. Could some one who has done it care to comment?

Thanks.

you need some basic supplies (the kit rvinyl sells will get you through) and a heatgun. I actually preferred a hair dryer since the my crappy Harbor Freight heatgun only has two settings; melt-your-face and dante's inferno.

since they are relatively cheap i'd also recommend getting a 2nd set. my first time i botched a headlight and wound up having to wait for a replacement to arrive. not a big deal, but frustrating nonetheless.

edit: i haven't done a 370z, but i've done two cars including my 2009 535i. which has a really crazy ridge in the middle that you have to work around. much worse than anything the Z has in terms of contours. you should be just fine with the 370z taillights
