Help: Adjust Brake Pedal Switch
Morning all,
I'm trying to get my cruise control fixed. It'll set when i lift up on the brake pedal with my foot. But then cancels when i let go. Question: How do you "properly" adjust the brake pedal switch?

I think you crawl in the foot well area and then loosen the lock nut on the sensor that touches the break pedal. After that, you back the whole sensor itself out and then tighten the lock nut again. Go test the cruise control again and adjust as needed. I would look in my car foot well but my bro took it to the Dr.

I've had the same problem - can't quite get the switch to sit where the car is happy and I don't have my brake lights on/throttle issues. I'm taking it to Nissan Tuesday but would like to just be able to fix this myself. Anyone have any success with this? I have the switch as far down as it would go and it's barely contacting the brake pedal.

A quick fix would be to add a couple layers of tape on the brake pedal where the sensor touches. Keep adding tape layers until you feel the sensor working.

As much as that'd be a good temporary fix - I went back into the footwell before to take a look and saw that there is a bend/tear in the metal holding the brake pedal. It's no wonder that I couldn't adjust the switch down far enough to contact the pedal! I have to probably order a whole new brake pedal assembly. At least I know what the problem is now. How that happened, I have no clue..
