Default Driver side door panel wear

I rest my elbow on the upper part of the door when driving. Now I have a spot where the finish is gone. Any ideas on refinish or do I just have to replace it. Only 55K miles it should be more resistant. I have cars from other manufacture with 150K on them with no wear problems, same elbow!

A picture would help. Shoe polish helps on scratches but I don't know if that would help what you are describing.

Are you sure the finish has worn off?

My wife's Acura had a spot after about 30K mile and 2 years. Turns out it was a just gross arm stuff like sweat and skin that had accumulated. It cleaned off with a slightly more powerful cleaning agent than I would normally use on that particular fake leather (I tested it first). She drove the Z for 25K miles and 1.5 years and never had a problem like that.

I use Super VRT to dress up the interior panels. Its not too greasy (don't need much) or glossy, and I've found it does a decent job at hiding small scuffs or scratches.

Damn $515 I can't even justify that. I have it also I was thinking maybe it could be resprayed or something but color might be off. There has to be alternative hmm time to keep my eye on the for sale section again.
