Vinyl Roof Wrap - Brands
Any recommendation on the various brands of Vinyl?
I'm offered a good deal on the installation of a vinyl gloss black roof using Avery vinyl. I personally wanted 3M because its just a more reputable company that gives me a peace of mind. Are there any real differences between the various brands and any one in particular I should shy away from? Last but not least, how difficult is it to install it? I don't want the guy messing up, scratching the paint, and then covering it up without letting me know.

is ur ride a dd? then get one that has at least a 4-5yr warranty.
how you take care of it will also determine how long vinyl lasts. like my dinoc ive installed 4yrs ago on the b-pillar still look like new. same goes the trim on the interior. hardest part of the install on the roof is getting the vinyl to tuck under the seals without damaging the a-pillar finisher. |

I'm looking at doing my roof also and have talked to two shops. One will do it for $150 but says it's pretty permanent and after a couple years (it depends a bit on how baked on it gets from heat and sun) you will need a heat gun to remove it and it could leave a residue.
Another shop is quoting~250 but they say they are using Supreme Avery and it is a superior product because it is thicker than most and can even be removed and repositioned at any time...with no glue/residue left behind. Nothing about 3M vinyl but he did also say that if going with a clear bra, don't use 3M or Venture Shield because they will yellow. Both shops have experience and good followings. So, I'm trying to decide if I really want my roof black and which direction to go. Since I have a gunmetal car, I think a black roof will just look like a nice accent and not be too obvious? |

You get what you pay for, dont skimp out
I've had 2 friends use Avery brand (neither have removed from cars) however both black still maintain their color and have yet to hear any complaints from them |
