Default Intereior LED Lighting issue.

I swapped out might interior bulbs yesterday with a simple $9.00 LED swap package from Amazon and it was obviously pretty straight forward. But what I found while driving home after dinner was that my map lights are getting some feedback from what I believe to be the ambient light. Once I close the door the lights go off but not completely. They are on but barely and they even flicker a bit. If I turn the switch to off they go off completely and during the day when the ambient light is off they are completely off. I'm thinking I may need a better type of LED light for the map lights or is there a simple fix for it?

You get what you pay for!!! xD lol
Even though it might cost more, buy from vendors or brands that people purchase theres from. I'm thinking about switching my lights as well
Gotta put all good parts on our fairladys!!!

LOL. Tell me about it but for $9.00 I'll just drink two less beers. I'm sure it's some sort of diode fix but I'm not that advanced. LMAO!!

Bulbs are not created equal, some have real problems with dimmers. Found this out in the house after paying 20 each for 4 led bulbs. When you hit the dimmer they go down a bit, flash back to full bright, dim a little more, flicker some, back to full bright, then back off!

It's like a damn night club in there.

I bought good LEDs and have the same problem. Installed the same set in a GTR with no issues. Not sure how to fix it but it's been like that for a year with no issues.

I put superbright in my Z and they have been flawless from the day 1 (knock on wood). I would recommend superbright and all my interior and some exterior costed me 75$, but it was worth it because they last. good luck OP, just an opinion for thought

I bought some pure white 8 smd leds from eBay which I believe listed from China and they've been in my car for over 2 years without any issues and I probably paid less than $5 for a set of 10.

I don't think it's necessary to spend a whole lot on small leds.

My LEDs have a slight glow to them as well. Not a big deal. LEDs take so little power to light them that any little bit of voltage that gets through a switch will show up.
