Clock time lags

Anyone else's clock on the dial start getting behind over time? Noticed about every 6 months she'll be 4-5 mins behind. Same thing with my old roadster. Is it UPREV?

Nope, mine does also, over a few months it will be a couple minutes behind what it should be. Was this way when I first bought it, my theory:
-Since it takes so long to lose 1-2 minutes, it might be when the car is started/shut off and the system goes into standby it loses a millisecond each time, which over a couple months slowly adds up.

I didn't know the clock was going slower, I just thought I was going too fast for it to keep up.

Mine does this too. I set it ahead, and then it goes back to being on time.

Another little thing that annoys me, like the "cruise control" that keeps the car within 20mph

Yes, mine has lost 1 minute in the past month. That is, of course, comparing it to the navigation time, which is automatically set via satellite.

I really wish the stupid trip computer did not have its own clock independent of the navigation system. They should tie that clock into the navigation unit on models so equipped.

yah, my current pioneer AVH-4500BT has no way of turning off the clock and looks kinda dumb to have 2 clocks in the car

hope pioneer listened and put the clock-off feature back on their new ones. my previous pioneer had a clock-off mode.

Unless there is a "clock adjustment factor" that Uprev accidentally over-wrote, I can't see where the tune would have any effect on the clock.

My guess is that the clock is a stand-alone unit and is just off by a little bit. Would probably cost more to grab time from ECM, over the CAN bus, than to just keep track of it internally. There may be an adjustment on the clock.

The FSM may have info on where the time base is and whether or not it can be adjusted.
