Should I get a oil change?

M Z is a 2015 with about 600 miles on it. Fluids all look good. Think it would be advised to get them changed before or after? |

Do you have to? Not really. Personally, I always change the oil on a new car after the break in period is over. Do I have to? Probably not. Is it ever a bad thing to change the oil? Nope.
If I were in your shoes, I'd change it as soon as I got back home. Also, check the oil from time to time. New engines occasionally burn some oil when they're breaking in.

600 miles is a little early for the first change. I like DE5.0's change-in-ATL idea (and keeping a close eye on level). That will give you about 1500 miles, which is a good time for the first oil change. But it won't hurt if you wait until you get home - with modern engines and lubes, break-in is not the big deal it used to be.

good advice... just change it around 1500 - 2000 miles. I would probably use dino oil til about 5k in case you want to switch to synthetics. You should vary the speed during your long trip. It break-in better that way.

And if you don't speak spanish, you'll need to learn if you spend an extended amount of time there.

MJB: Did you have the NISMO when you lived there?
I would hate to have it there if it is windy. All that sand would find places to get into that your car may not like......

Understood. I was in Augusta, GA in the Summer/Fall back in 2010, so I avoided the yellow blanket days.

I agree with Andrew and the guys^. Atl is a good time to change it. Just schedule it with the dealer before hand though. I got mine changed at 1,300 miles.

Yep, I bought the Nismo while I lived there. I also had my 350z while I was there too. The wind and sand storms was definitely a problem. Luckily I had a garage.
