Sup guise,
my names mark and as you can tell I'm new to everything here. After doing some research around here i found out that test pipes are pretty good for gains, even though they are a little louder than hfcs. Im looking to do more mods, as much as the next guy, and i obviously need help/ideas! I also realized that even though the g3 intake is top of line for the 370z, but I prefer sticking with the OEM set up and might change the filter out to k&n.

I want at least a few mods before i decided to buy osiris and tune so basically any ideas you can give me will be helpful!

So far, all i have are test pipes on the beauty and its the base with the sport package (a must in my opinion) 6mt. Anyone in the same boat as me would also benefit from this thread and its an awesome way to explain those gains your own beauties have achieved.

please no flame. New to 370 and its corresponding forums!

I'm pretty new as well. Only have 770 miles on my Z. 2014 sport. I just bought an injen intake. Installing this weekend. How are those test pipes? I think I want some. And I'm going to tune mine as well. Idk how the Osiris stuff works though. Pretty new to tuning as well.

search bro read around, you are coming into it 3 years late so there are all kinds of options. If you are looking for serious power we have threads on NOS and turbo/superchargers in the Forced induction section. there are pulleys, diff's and clutches here in the main engine and drivetrain section, and if you are looking for opinions on exhausts, intakes, or your testpipes go into the intake and exhaust section. When you post up on the main page a thread about intakes and exhausts you are saying "I is noob, please flame" If you are looking for someone to tell you what you should do to your car there are always magazines, web blogs, or tuning shops. Around here it works more like "I was thinking about XXX exhaust system and after searching XXX exhuast and reading the 30 threads that came up, and then listening to it in the exhaust sound database thread I wanted to know where is a good place to get one?" We also welcome review threads on stuff you buy to help others decide if they should also buy it, but please try to keep it in the same section.

This front page is also used for when your car breaks or does something funny, either myself or one of the other forum members will chime in to help you try to figure out what is wrong and decide whether you should take it in for warranty or not.

Also take a look at the stickied posts(the ones at the top of each forum section) they answer a lot of common questions, or are full of some of the most useful info.

and welcome to the forum.

Test Pipes, Exhaust with Silicone post maf tubes and K&N Drops = Beast....It woukd be better if I was tuned but can't advise on that since I haven't done that mod but if your looking for serious power like 1Slow370 said look intos the forced induction section. I too myself asked these questions and was refered to the search button and actually they're right. SO MANY THREADS ON HERE via N/A mods and ESPECIALLY Boosted Review Threads. Welcome Op

eh....gears will b ur best mod w/out a TUNE. Intake/Xhaust w/out a tune is basically no improvement over stock....I can attest 2 this personally as well as sum others on here w/mods and no tune that have taken their Z to the trak...
But remember, its ur $$$, so bl0w it as u see fit!

If you dont have intention bringing your your car to the track and only use it for dd or fun car you don't need to have it tune. But off course tuning your car would bring you the best performance gains out of your mods.

But I would certainly not want to believe you will not gain any improvements over stock for not having your car tuned. Only the butt dyno can tell you that not on the track.
To me they are just numbers if your really serious on tracking your Z invest on suspension, tires and DPE school to improve your driving skills!

post maf tubes and k&n filters is a another way to do a CAI, the nissan airboxes are actually pretty good so you save a little change and end up with a decent result power wise, but as far as appearance they are a long ways off from a nice cold air intake.

Edit: Damnit I should have said search who has the picture of the screenshot with the search button circled?
