I have a Z Speed CSC, so I hope it's not that going bad after about a year and a half.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks.

You are correct, no fluid loss + no pedal = bad Master Cylinder. They both have same OEM ORing lifetime, I guess.

I was looking into the HD CSC last night and saw that ZSpeed recommended replacing the CMC at the same time. Did you do this? They state that a dirty CMC can affect their CSC.

There were also posts on this forum where Joe, from Zspeed, recommended replacing the HD CSC when pulling the trans, so it does not sound like it is infallible.

Does the clutch pedal return to the top after you release it?

You could try bleeding the clutch just in case.

Thanks Guys. I didn't have the master cylinder replaced when I upgraded the CSC.

Luckily the pedal does return to the top when released.

I'll take it in to get checked out tomorrow.

Almost guaranteed to be the CMC. I'm surprised the CMC lasted another 1.5 yrs - how many miles did you put on it in that time?

I've had once the pedal stick on the floor and one other time it drop about 2-3" and each time I've had to pump the pedal numerous times to get it to rise back up, I've checked the fluid level each time and it's fine.

This has only happened the 2 times in 2.5 years of ownership from brand new, the dealer has checked it but we can't get it to happen again, so I'm kind of waiting for it to go, just don't know when..

worst case get them to bleed it again at the dealership see if it happens again in the meantime

Short version is it "fixed itself"

I was on the way to the dealership (since they could look at it right away) and had to do an emergency stop. The pushed to clutch in fast, and after that the feel was almost back to normal.

Tonkin Nissan quoted 110 to replace the master, which isn't bad at all since that's the price of the part alone. They said they'd replace it for free if it's defective, even though I told them it may be worn prematurely from the stiffer clutch. They said it would be covered on a 6 yr /70k warantee.

They had it up on the lift and said no air bubbles and felt fine,no need to replace it. At least they didn't charge me at all. Worst case is they drained and replaced some of my motul fluid.

I'll probably replace the master someday soon just for piece of mind.
