Default Nissan says they have not seen this problem

I didn't know about this problem until it happened to me. Clutch went to the floor, I went to the forum and saw it is the clutch slave cylinder. I had bought some protection plan so they will fix it for a $50 deductible. 2009 370Z with 39K miles. Drove a long way in 3rd gear either running stop signs or red lights or I would have been stranded a long way from home in north Kansas City...in the dark.

I wonder if that would work, "I'm sorry officer my clutch pedal was stuck, I didn't mean to run all those red lights and stop signs."

Worked for all those people driving toyotas "I'm sorry officer my accelerator was stuck, I didn't mean to do 120mph"

Not if it is a small dealer, my local Nissan dealer is tiny, they probably see maybe one or 2 Zs a month, they are surrounded by bigger Dealers closer to the city, which get more traffic.

As far as being "stupid" or running the risk of a ticket, I only drove home tha way and parked the car. I had no way to get home otherwise. It was a 55 minute drive. Imagine the walk. I can't call a tow truck or anything else. At the risk of boring everyone, my ex-wife and I had an agreement that child support ended when our daughters turned 18. But the stupid state of Missouri does not care. She filed claiming I should pay until they are 21. One is 21 and the other turning 23. They ageed and are retroactively docking me $1250.00 a month, seized my income tax refunds, and reported me as a bad debt to credit agencies. Yes, I have a lawyer. I have been to court twice and to hearings with the family services twice. I am deep in debt, owe money everywhere, can't afford my diabetes meds, or anything remotely close to a hamburger these days. My next court date is in June. And, I am not a young man. I'm an old dude close to retirement. Unless you are/were in my shoes, you'd have no idea how bad this gets. So I had no choice to drive it home. A friend has lent me a car and another got my car towed for me. Now I am hoping and praying it is covered under the extended warranty. I found the $50 dollar deductible and my attorney is good about me making "payments." Wish me luck. If you don't hear from me again, it went badly in June and I am living in the wilds of Alaska hiding out my final days.

This is just like the steering lock. It wasn't "known" to Nissan until enough people complained about them failing and they had to issue a recall. Typical Nissan, the model used in the recall (Rev D) still appears prone to failure.

My local dealers claim the CSC is a "wearable" part after I showed them the sticky thread on this forum about CSC failures. That is complete bull$hit. Who in their right mind would design a $100 "wearable" part that requires dropping the transmission and about $800 in labor? Fvck you, Nissan

I asked Nissan if they had visited these forums and the answer was no. According to the 350Z and 370 Z forum, failure of the clutch slave cylinder is widespread. I may be wrong, but it is my impression that there was a recall on the 350s. When I bought my Pathfinder, I had no idea that there was a radiator defect that struck at around 60K miles allowing radiator fluid to flow into the transmissioin killing it. I traded the Pathfinder in on the Z at 30K. It was a 2006 model. In 2012, I received a letter saying Nissan had "settled" with the government and would replace the transmission etc free if I still had it. I am sitting here on pins and needles waiting for the call telling me what is wrong.
