If there are no electronics in the OBD-to-SG2 cable (I can't remember if there are or not), make your own cable. Should be a lot neater than trying to splice the OEM cable. Or you could get a OBD extension cable and plug the SG2 cable into it under the dash somewhere. I use a splitter just so I don't wear out the car's data port. ![]() Yes, the SG2 is powered from the data port. Edit: If you get an OBD splitter, get one with a 90-degree connector at the data port. Makes tucking the cables away a LOT easier.
