Fellow 370z colleagues is what kind of oil would I need for a 40th with 70k Miles on the clock. I searched and searched for threads about changing oil and a lot of them were originally made on 2009 or 10 with lower mile cars and I need advice on a higher mileage car. Any advice will be highly appreciated |

Any full synthetic of the factory spec weight will do you just fine. Don't overthink oil.

I'm amazed this thread hasn't blown up. Good job heading it off quickly, Chuck
I use Mobil 1 simply because I can get 5 qts at Walmart for $25

If you do want to overthink oil, Bob Is The Oil Guy | The Internet's Number One Motor Oil Site . That's where chemical engineers talk about oil. It'll make your head hurt, but there's good stuff to be found.

I only use the brand of oil that has the most prominent logo on the car of the points leader in NASCAR standings. If it works in a 900 hp stock car it must be what's best for my Z, right? If the driver also has a patch on his driving suit, then I also use that company's oil filter.
Just kidding. I use Mobil 1 with either a Wix, K&N, or AC oil filter. Don't forget to use a new crush washer. Last edited by MacCool; 03-28-2014 at 12:39 PM. |

Any metal flat washer will work. Enjoy your sleep.
