Slight RPM Rise?
So I've noticed something interesting when driving. Obviously while driving, you clutch in and the RPM drops. I let my car warm up until the RPM drops to 1000. I start driving and after clutching in to shift, the RPM actually rises 100-200rpm giving off an audible purr of the exhaust. That's what caught my attention. Foot off the gas, clutch in and RPM rise. It does this through every gear until the car warms up to normal operating temperatures. Anyone else experience this? Is it normal?
Also S-mode was off.

It's not UpRev tuned. It's really any time I push the clutch in. Up or down. It's really not a big deal. Just wondering if it's normal. I was thinking something in the ECU acting finicky. I might try a reset. Strange that it goes away after it warms up.

i think the ecu is just trying to burn off the gas based on ambient temp and humidity along with your last input parameters just before the shift. unless the rpm revs up on its own at a complete standstill (after water temp is at center of gauge) i think it's norma..

I suspect that kenchan is correct. Does it happen when the clutch is partially disengaged or do you have to put the pedal all the way down for it to rev up?

Mine does that with SRM on (rising when upshifting), always thought it was because of SRM... still do.
But with it off? That's a bit odd. I'll have to try it on the way home today. |

Hey don't make me look bad! We sell a premium product!
Happens when clutch is depressed to the point that it catches or this case, disengages. It's just strange. S-mode does it I know but I even cycled S-mode to make sure I wasn't going crazy. First time owning the car in the super cold months. I will have to see how it behaves in warmer weather.

when you disengage the clutch, maybe roll off your throttle a split second earlier? |
