Default Bolts from hell

I was taking my engine brace off to install my HPS tubes. Everything was going good until I got to the two bolts by the windshield wipers. I spent 10min trying screw it off and with WD 40 and still nothing. I think I stripped the bolts, anyways has anyone encountered this problem? Or is it possible to install with taking the brace off? I said the hell with it and put everything back.

Put mine on without taking anything off. Takes a little patience, but it is possible without too much effort.

Can't help you with the stripped bolts.

Good luck!

I used a 1/2'' Ratchet with a 14mm socket to remove the engine bar.

But you're right they are on there pretty tight.

I would suggest a small piece metal pipe to slide over the ratchet to convert into a breaker bar.

I was expecting a demon bolt thread.
I never had issues with the brace bolts

Are you referring to the strut brace fasteners? How far stripped is it? If its gone, maybe an easy out bit or you're gonna have to dremel it out and re-tap the threads. . A major pita.. good luck

Yeah the two screw nuts using a deep socket. For some reason it won't budge and I'm turning the right way. Oh well I'll try without taking it off.

No issues here but had mine off at like 10 miles so it was easy.

You shouldn't have to take off engine brace to install post maf tubes.
I installed SRI today without removing them
