Brake and Clutch Fluid Replacement Amount Question
Hello Everyone,
Does anybody know how much fluid is required to replace the brake and clutch fluid, approximately? I'm going with RBF, 600 Dot 4, Motul. I can buy it in the 500ml bottles. I just want to make sure I buy enough, and not too much of the stuff. Will two bottles cover it or three of maybe even 4? I ran a search but couldn't find anything specific as to the amount required. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Sam |

Not sure about the brake lines but when I switched to my SS clutch line, I used less the half the bottle to fill and bleed.

3 bottles should be plenty.

3 bottles should be enough to cover both Clutch and the Brake?
Just a newb confused question here but, when you replace master cyl, you're required to refill brake fluid correct? (ie. there's no separate clutch and brake master cyl?) Thanks. |

The brake and clutch have separate reservoirs but they use the same fluid. Ie if you bleed one you do not have to fill the other.

and when you replace master cylinder, is it necessary for one to bleed both? I assume it is but not sure. |

If you replace the clutch master cylinder you only have to bleed the clutch. I believe it only takes half a bottle.

3 bottles is fine. You don't have to bleed the brakes and clutch at the same time. They're separate systems with separate master cylinders that just happen to use the same fluid.
