Default Ticking in rear?

Hi guys,

So I couldn't find anything on the forum and I was hoping someone might help me pin point this.

I was doing an install on my stereo and removed all the rear trim pieces. I noticed that when I'm at idle, the car produces a ticking sound. The sound seems to correlate with the revs. When I hit 1K, it goes away.

Please watch the video below.

Sounds like it's exhaust related to me. Try listening underneath the car. It could be a leak, or part of the exhaust system hitting the frame, or it could be the normal sounds coming out of the tail pipe and "echoing" in the cabin.

I'll try getting underneath the car, but I'm 100% it's the rear.

I was just hoping someone might have experienced this in the past.

Alright, normally there's a ticking while driving that's cured by lubing something

But if it's for sure the rear and you can "fix" it by giving gas, yeahhhhhh... 99% chance it's the exhaust

Also, does it go away when the car is warm?

It does not go away when the car is warm. But it does happen that sometimes it does not sound. That is rarely the case though.

What about the exhaust? a leak?
