Bee*R Rev Limiter/Launch Control

Has anyone had any experience with the Bee*R Limiter/Launch Control? Seemed like an interesting product and was wondering if anyone has used one or installed one.

(puts flame suit on)

May be a dumb question but, on a manual, what's the difference between a "launch control" set at 3k, and just revving to 3k, and letting the clutch out. Second question, wouldn't a rev limiter or 2step still be mostly dependent on driver control when letting out the clutch?

(also wearing flame suit)

My application would be the 7at, fi. One reason I was looking at it or a similar unit is that the oem rev limiter is a fuel cutoff...but with a fi setup that would cause a lean condition, correct? And an ignition based cutoff would prevent that.

That is correct. With test pipes due to the excessive fuel you will throw a nice fire ball out the exhaust to boot. The launch control is nice because while waiting for the tree or the competitor to get the second stage you keep the pedal all the way to the floor and it hangs at whatever you set the launch at. Makes life a **** ton easier and also consistant. This thing is used more in the drift world since you are pinging off the revlimiter ALOT. But the launch control can be used at the strip. Alot of tuning programs though have launch control built in so not as widely used for people drag racing.

I am pretty sure you can setup a 2 step on the Uprev flash.

+1 yes you can.. Just ask for a launch map and you choose your RPM to have it set at.
