Default Transmission and rear diff fluid...?

Hey guys, I'm going to change my fluid in the trans and rear diff soon... before I order Motul, I was just curious to hear if anyone had used any other type?

Amsoil?
Redline?
Nissan?

I usually use Motul Gear300 in my trans and 90PA LSD in the diff, (well, I did in my STi) and it loved it.

Suggestions? Thoughts?

im using redline in both and havnt had issues. the tranny fluid made shifting quieter and smoother, esp during cold temps.

I posted DIYs for each and used Redline. Very happy thus far. The tranny shifts much smoother now, especially when cold (as noted by Daisuke). I'll swap the rear diff again this spring and comment on how the fluid looks. It was abysmal looking when I drained the stock rear diff fluid at 3k miles.

As I know the gear 300 only works good with the tranny at super high temp so I guess motylgear will work better with all around weather.

I used AMSoil for the diff and trans. Can't tell much of a difference with the diff fluid but the trans doesn't feel any better or worse than stock, good at low temps as well.

Here is one of many threads on that topic: Trans/Rear Diff oil recommendations...

Note that Redline now has an MT-85 fluid for the 370Z transmission - you don't need to mix two varieties anymore.

Shell Spirax Full Synthetic GL-5 spec, 75W-90 Gear Oil. All I have ever used on all my trucks and 370Z. A excellent synthetic gear oil that widely used in fleet and commercial services and I've been using since 1995.
