370Z dyno
We were able to dyno a new 370z over the weekend. Here is the chart and numbers. Im working on getting the video hosted. One hell of a HP and TQ curve. This was on a Mustang Dyno. Equals out to about a 16% drive train loss so it seems dead on. VVEL FTW!

Great powercurve. Most Mustang dyno's would read alot lower for a VQ37VHR (~240-250 whp). But im assuming they have changed the calibration up quiet a bit to simulate a dynojet.
Numbers are just numbers anyhow. I'm really loving the VQ37VHR's flat torque curve. |

I would think a dynojet would be closer to 300whp for a VQ37. Mustang hasnt done anything to "simulate" a dynojet. Mustang wants real numbers not inflated bragging rights.

I have been to countless dynos and I will tell you many tuners usually set their own unique calibration. And most dynojets yield anywhere from 275-290 for the VQ37VHR, depending on their calibration and other variables. Most Mustang dyno's usually read really low. Meaning, most would yield ~240-255 for a VQ37VHR. This doesn't mean there's anything wrong with this dyno. I'm just saying its not the norm for a mustang dyno. Like I have always said, numbers are just numbers. It's the difference in the powerband from a car's modification within the same dyno that matters. |

AH! Yeah... OK. LOL! My spell checker didn't see that. I guess barrow is another word somewhere. LOL
I was never good at spelling... Great with numbers though!

Nice curves, but like everyone else is saying, dynos are really only useful for comparing mods on the same car on the same dyno to see differences from baseline.
Still great to see such nice curves, thanks for posting! Now get some modifications on that thing and strap it back down
