Default Rough idle P0011 P0300

I was out driving yesterday and after a pull in 3rd to about 6k, idle became rough and a loss of power.

I’ve had this before and it cleared itself as if something became stuck and unstuck.
If the VVEL solenoid has failed / stuck, would that cause these codes and symptoms.
The reason I ask is when I fitted the solenoid, the centre pin was stuck in, and I have to release it.

Thanks
John

Bit of an update on this.
I swapped out the solenoid on bank 1 and it snapped as I took it out. I was hoping that was the issue of the faults.
Car drove perfectly. I took it out for around 30mins of aggressive driving without issue. Then I got a P0300 code again. I reset it and 5mins later I get P0011. The issue only seems to happen when the car is really hot. If it was a timing issue, I’d imagine the P0011 code would be there all the time or the 1st time I went high in the rev range.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what to look got next?

Potentially sounds like the gallery gaskets are leaking and causing low oil pressure.

Would explain why it appears when the car is hot as the oil thins out a bit. I'd do an oil pressure test.

You could also remove the VTC timing cover on the passenger side and use a borescope to inspect the gaskets.
