Default Is this likely the waterpump failing?

I have a 2009 370z mt. I am 90% sure the water pump failed.

Currently having a leaking issue that only occurs when the car is running, and worsens as the RPM and coolant temperature increases. The leak is located near the right of the AC compressor, which leads me to believe coolant is leaking from the weep hole due to some failure of the water pump. I don't see any leaks coming from the metal cooling hose connected near the headers, either.

Other things of note: when the weep hole is leaking a lot, I can hear a faint constant whirring sound which I feel is indicative of a mechanical failure of the pump, likely due to the propeller. bearing failing. Only check engine light I have is for high coolant temperatures.

Don't think its a head gasket issue cause:

No steaming from the heads nor any coolant dropping on the headers
Oil and coolant dont seem to be mixing.
No gases from combustion coming out of radiator cap when revving.

At the very least, since I have an 09 this gives the excuse to replace the gallery gaskets while I am at it.

If you don't mind, how much are they charging? I am currently replacing a failed gallery gasket and wondered what it would have cost if I went to the dealer instead.

Your dealer should be able to give you a quote even if you're not using them to do the work.

How much did you pay? I think the job should be in the $1000-1500 range for parts and labor.
I had mine done but I didn't get a breakdown of costs from my mechanic (I had a lot of work done at the same time)

Curious too about how much they charged for those jobs.

I am still waiting on some parts but so far it has cost me just under $400 and about 8 hours of labor. I am at the point where I need to put the chain back on and put everything back together but waiting on a single VTC cover gasket from Nissan which is backordered. Probably be another 4 hours of labor to put it all back together (maybe faster as I shouldn't have to refer to youtube as much)

Sorry for the late reply, but my friends mechanic who is very familiar with the vhr platform did it for $1085. Only thing was I had to buy the parts and fluids, which was around $3-400.

How many miles did you have on your 2009 when the water pump failed? I am wondering how long they typically last as I have a 2010.

Not a bad price for the job. When my oil pressure dies i'm simply stabbing in a lower mileage later model engine.
