What is the purpose of the "condenser seal", left and right? I thought it was some kind of front bumper facia support, but they only show up on the condenser

Condenser seal ???
What is the purpose of the "condenser seal", left and right? I thought it was some kind of front bumper facia support, but they only show up on the condenser parts break down. They stick out above and below the front crash bar and impact absorber. I do not have them, and the AC works just fine. Just curious as to what they actually do and if they seal anything.

They direct air flow into the radiator.
