370z Manual Transmission Breather tube question
Hell everyone. I am in the middle of changing out my OEM CSC in my 2015 370Z.Everything is going really well. I bought a CMAK Elimination Replacement Kit from ZSpeed and so far everything is going smoothly. However, I ran into one small issue and I need your input.
When I re-installed my transmission, I got extremely lucky and it went right back into place without much challenge from getting the spline to align correctly and even the bell housing bolts lined up perfectly upon the first attempt. So woo-hoo there! But...now I have noticed that I did not put the breather hose back on the tube at the top of the transmission. What is worse is the fact that..now I can't even find the hose to put it back on the breather tube. From the bottom of the car, as it is on jack stands, I have reached all the way up on the top of the transmission and all over the place but I can not locate the hose. I even went up top under the hood and tried to find it going down to the transmission. I can not find it anywhere. So I am thinking maybe I managed to sandwiched the hose on top of the transmission as I put it back up in the transmission tunnel ?? So here is my questions... Where does the breather hose go on the car? Can I find it up top somewhere and trace it? Or does it just go out to fresh air somewhere? If so, can I just go buy some rubber tubing and make my own and mount it somewhere? I would REALLY hate to drop the transmission again just to find this hose. I am quite sure it probably just goes to fresh air somewhere...right??? Any help is appreciated. Thanks! Zed |

The hose just vents to atmosphere. The hose first comes off the breather then goes to a bracket that gets held on by a top right middle 17mm bell housing bolt.

Here is the FSM excerpt for the breather tube in case it helps.
