HELP! Clutch not fully disengaging
Can someone pls help .I’m not an expert but I recently replaced my clutch, flywheel, jwt heavy duty csc, and master cylinder (all aftermarket parts from z1). After I finished I went went and started messing with it . First I notice 5th gear grinds pretty bad . Then when I shift into 1st gear the car starts moving with clutch pedal FULLY PRESSED IN. I admit I don’t think I bleed the clutch properly, could that be the problem?? Also are you supposed to adjust the master cylinder after replacing it ? If so how? I adjusted the shifter plate . I really hope it’s not a problem that involves me taking off the tranny aging. Thanks and advance!!

I had these symptoms when my clutch master cylinder failed. Also same symptoms when the clutch slave cylinder failed. Could be you didn't bled it as you should have, I imagine it would have exactly the same symptoms.

If the clutch is engaging while the clutch pedal is depressed, that sounds like an adjustment issue. I think you should be able to adjust the engagement via the external slave cylinder without dropping the transmission. I hated having to adjust that damn slave cylinder - plus it kept breaking on me. I recently replaced the Z1 kit with the ZSpeed CMAK and am very happy with that decision.

You could have some air left in the system reducing your slave cylinder stroke. If more bleeding doesnt help, you could lengthen the pushrod going into the master (at the top of the clutch pedal) to increase stroke in the master (so long as you have slack left and you dont cause the clutch pedal resting position to pressurize the clutch system).
