HELP: Stealth aem 340 pump install - drilling venturi orifice
I soon have to install a stealth aem 340 fuel pump for a supercharger kit (no fuel return system), I will also be running a relay kit. The only confusion I have about the whole upgraded fuel pump install is the drilling of the Venturi orifice (and the pressure regulator??). I know cjm’s in depth pdf recommends to drill the Venturi orifice 0.1” and up for fuel pumps of size 340lph and up.
My question is to people who’ve installed the stealth aem 340lph fuel pump and have drilled out the orifice, what size drill bit worked for you? From what I know the target fuel pressure is approximately 52psi at idle. Further, is drilling the pressure regulator necessary as well? Or is drilling the Venturi orifice sufficient for the aem 340 pump? I would appreciate any help and possibly any other helpful advice when installing an upgraded fuel pump. I have searched extensively for the size to drill the Venturi fitting, and I have not found a definite answer. |
