Default Clutch on the floor! HELP!

Hey Z Community,

I need some help! I have a 2016 370Z Nismo, bought it 2 years ago with 5,000 miles on it, now I got 26,000 miles.

Over the past month, my clutch has been getting progressively worse, but today I pressed on the clutch and it stayed on the floor! I haven't really been ragging on the car or driving it too hard. I've been driving stick for over 13 years and I never had to replace my clutch on my previous cars, so I know it isn't my driving.

Do I need to replace the clutch? Or the CSC? Or would changing out the clutch fluid resolve this issue?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

CSC probably took a dump and most likely took the master cylinder with it.

First step would be to check your clutch fluid level. Low? Dirty? Go ahead and do a flush and see if your clutch comes back, though unlikely.

Best bet would be to hit up ZSpeed for a clutch and CMAK kit to replace the CSC and possibly ruined clutch (if the clutch fluid leaked internally from the CSC).

I would start with the fluid, but be prepared to replace everything for full and complete piece of mind that the problem has been resolved.

Is ZSpeed better for a new clutch? Or Z1 Motorsports?

Hate to break it to you, but it's most likely the (terrible) clutch slave cylinder. It's a common problem with our cars, even if it's hit or miss. I, too, have a '16 NISMO, with 76000 miles on it, and I haven't had a lick of trouble with my clutch.

ZSpeed is the consensus choice over Z1 for both clutch and CMAK, in addition to having superior customer service.

Joe at ZSpeed will get you what you need.

Might also be worth getting a new CMC while you're at it. If I remember correctly, there's a greater than zero chance that when the CSC fails, the contaminated fluid can muck up the seals in the CMC. Might be worth it to hedge your bets and replace it while you're working on the clutch system.
